Team Adventure Activities

'From the moment of my initial inquiry, Corporate Outdoor Training were approachable, attentive and thorough with information and suggestions provided. On the day of the Point Nepean bike ride, not only were we lucky to have had a glorious sunny day in Portsea, the employees of Geofabrics were lucky enough to enjoy the surrounding beauty on a fun bike ride, led by the friendly and accommodating hosts, Ryan and Simon. The feedback was all positive and we all know how difficult it is to please everyone! Ninety two shop floor employees from all sites attended one of the six “Leading from the Front - Journey Programs” in the Northern NSW bush, each  over 2 1/2 days.  This was the first ever off-site training for most of our attendees! The program provided:

• the skills required to be an effective member of a work team,
• concepts, skill practice & feedback to improve leadership confidence, and
• standard tools & processes to identify & solve problems at work

Those whom have attended the training have returned as ‘active’ team players.  Projects undertaken on site since participating in the training have shown solid results with tangible benefits to the business.

Graduate Programs

Here at BOC we have had an association with Corporate Outdoor Training for several years and myself as Programme Manager of our Graduate Programme I have know both Eric and Peter for the past two years.   We work with COT for team building activities and specifically our Graduate programme at both Induction time and what we call "development week" for our Graduates.  As each time we work with COT we have different needs and are looking for different outcomes - their expertise in regards to designing and tailoring a programme to suit what we are after, is outstanding.  The challenges and activities for individuals and for working in teams are all conducted in a manner which builds the trust with the participants and helps to establish relationships that are formed and strengthened back on the job.  The link from the training to real life working environment for our Graduates is a key, and COT have successfully achieved this each time.   Some of the fun we have includes not only problem solving activities, but adventure learning like, outdoors with high ropes, tramping, camping out, rafting, just to name a few.   I very much enjoy working with COT and their professionalism and experience means that I don't have to worry about anything!  They take care of all arrangements and provide everything we have ever asked for.  I would have no hesitation in recommending the services of COT - they are excellent!

The Apprenticeship Program was a great success! This was a result of the ground work COT did in designing a program that was tailored to Grocon’s  values and business strategy. Not only did they design an excellent program but their professional facilitators delivered on all the objectives and the feedback from our apprentices was outstanding. Corporate Team Solutions & Outdoor Training were  instrumental in developing our initial graduate program in our Victorian division 9 years ago. They have continued to work with us in designing a national program and have very successfully run programs across all states including indoor and outdoor activities ever since. The program continues to grow and  evolve in meet the needs of our graduates and cadets. Their facilitators are highly experienced and really connect well with younger people.
