Peter Martini is Managing Director of Corporate Team Solutions & Outdoor Training, a consultancy company specialising in team and leadership development for clients in Australia and the Asian region.

Peter has over 15 years experience in learning and development as a facilitator, presenter and consultant. Prior to establishing his first company in 1991, Peter had a number of years in education culminating in an International Fellowship exchange to Canada in 1987. Upon return, Peter's transition to the corporate sector came via a senior management appointment to a large training services based company.

Right from the beginning Peter was clear that his strengths lie in facilitating organisational improvement through team and leadership development. As he believes learning is most effective when it involves active participation, Peter incorporates experiential learning activities into his indoor/outdoor programs. By combining interactive learning techniques with the TMS suite of instruments, Peter found the perfect vehicle to design and facilitate programs that are fun, engage people and deliver results.

Peter is a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (A.H.R.I.), the Australian Institute of Management (A.I.M.), the Australian Institute of Training & Development (A.I.T.D). He is also an accredited master trainer in Team Management Systems (Margerison/ McCann) and is recognised as one of the leading experiential learning consultants in Australia.

Peter's clients represent a broad cross section of industries and countries. They include : DHL Worldwide Express (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Nepal and Australia), BHP (Australia), Hewlett Packard (Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia), and Cargill (Asia Pacific, UK/Europe and USA.)

During his spare time Peter enjoys a number of outdoor activities - white water kayaking, bushwalking and the occasional day hang-gliding!


Eric Ward



Team Management Systems


Originally from W.A. Eric began his career drawing engineering, construction and geographical plans for the aerial survey industry. He quickly became a senior project manager providing plans for underwater drilling and the building of hydro-electric dams.

Looking for more challenge in his work environment Eric became an owner / operator of a travel company and established himself as a key figure in the booming Adventure Travel Industry.  Eric's achievements grew with the industry and he moved on to become Australian Operations Manager for Peregrine Adventures.  Between 1983 - 1993 Eric was influential in keeping Australian adventure at the leading edge of a competitive tourism trend. His hands on style enabled him to personally research, market and lead many of the ground breaking adventure tours.

Setting new goals Eric moved into management consulting. Again he was at the forefront of a growing industry that provided Experiential Leadership modules. Numerous companies have since benefited from Eric's unique design and facilitation of corporate Team building activities and Leadership Learning programs.

Over the last 10 years Eric has been on a number of management boards within the sport and recreation industry, has been a senior lecturer for Advanced Business Management studies and from 2001 – 2005 was state CEO for an Olympic sports organisation.

Empowered with a wealth of practical experience and high achievement Eric is now a senior consultant with Corporate Team Solutions / Corporate Outdoor Training. He is continuing to empower teams and people in business. His demonstrated track record of performance, leadership and change management experience complement his facilitation and presentation skills in bringing leading edge solutions that are designed to improve productivity, leadership and team effectiveness.

Outside of work, his spirited passion for team endurance adventure events, mountain biking, white water kayaking, skiing and surfing keep Eric fit, alert and looking for new solutions within a team environment.


Ryan Powell

Ryan Powell is a Senior Consultant with Corporate Team Solutions & Outdoor Training. With over ten years experience in education, training and team management in diverse settings both in Australia and abroad, Ryan brings a sound understanding of the importance of team development and unity within industry at all levels.

Ryan has worked closely with a vast number of companies over the years in promoting diversity within the workplace through consultation, planning and the delivery of training at both senior management and staff levels.

Previously, Ryan has worked as teacher in a remote Indigenous community in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia, as well as the traditional Aussie teaching stint in the UK, where he specialized in the management of challenging behaviours.

Ryan has spent many years in negotiating employment terms and conditions with employers for people entering or re entering the workforce, as well as the development, design and implementation of accredited training for the specific needs of industry.

In his spare time Ryan plays competitive cricket and baseball. He enjoys camping holidays with his family and friends and most of all loves being a dad to his little girl.

Kim Austen

Kim is a Senior Facilitator with Corporate Outdoor Training, one of Australia’s leading consultancy companies specialising in team and leadership development.

With a background that includes working for three of the top Australian advertising agencies in creative and account management roles and 10 years experience in marketing within the IT industry, Kim’s interest and career developed into the area of training and development.   Working with these dynamic and fluid organisations, Kim has gained a strong foundation of business management and has experienced first hand the importance of supporting and improving innovation, sharing knowledge and building high performing teams.

Kim was then employed by Outward Bound Australia as Business Development Manager to manage their corporate and personal development outdoor training programs and lives by their philosophy that everyone has more potential than they realise.

As an accredited Workplace Trainer and Assessor, abseiling instructor and practised in the areas of management psychology and accelerated learning, Kim facilitates effective indoor learning workshops and outdoor experiential training programs.

Industries Kim has worked with include IT & Communications, Publishing, Banking & Finance, Insurance, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Mining, Tertiary and Service Organisations.

Kim’s own interests include a love of sport, travel and outdoor pursuits – rain, hail or shine!


Sue Rak


Sue is your initial contact and in conjunction with our other staff takes pride in finding an answer to your queries. Sue specialises in our administration tasks i.e. program scheduling, venue management, course logistics and office management.  As an avid AFL Richmond Tigers 'footy tragic' supporter Sue knows how to take on a challenge."


Rosemary Marchington


Rosemary has a professional background in product & service marketing with a good dash of graphic design. Ensuring decision makers receive quality product information, Rosemary also builds relationships with the finest conference venues - and sings in the office.
